Applying to IA

International Academy offers an internationally recognized K-12 diploma with U.S. and international accreditation. Kindergarten is the first required year in the American international school program (it is equivalent to Year 1 in the British program). In Kindergarten, our students learn to read, write, and reason mathematically in English and acquire proper pronunciation through social interaction. Children ages 4-6 may be considered for application to Kindergarten.

An oral interview, a grammar test and a short essay on assigned topics will be used to determine the student’s level of English for English Language Learning (ELL) placement.

All new students should apply through our new student application process. A student may be considered for enrollment when International Academy St. Petersburg has received the following:

  • Completed the Application form for the New Student
  • Grade Card(s) and/or Transcripts from previous school(s)
  • Admissions interview

International Academy Saint Petersburg admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. Parent Testimonials

"I am the mom of three kids, and they enjoy going to school every morning. IASP is close like a family. The students naturally learn about new cultures and respect, because of the many nations represented in our school. Our teachers help the children to unlock their full potential and continually develop. We love IA!"
