Advanced Placement
International Academy Saint Petersburg offers the Advanced Placement (AP) college-preparatory program administered by the College Board, an organization whose mission is to connect students to university opportunity and success.
More than 4,000 international universities in over 100 countries recognize the AP program. High School students may take AP courses and exams, in accordance with the guidelines of our school policy. Through our AP courses, students have shown exceptional aptitude and entered top universities and institutes worldwide. Upon completion of an AP course, many universities consider the course to be equivalent to the same course offered by their university.

Scores (2020-2025)
AP Exams are scored on a scale of 1-5. A score of 3 is passing, 4 is excellent, and 5 is superior.

Global Recognition
Qualifying AP Exam scores earn university credit in nearly all universities in the United States and Canada, and are recognized in 60 other countries worldwide. Scores of 3 or 4 on AP Exams fulfill admission requirements in many universities in the UK and Europe.

Your AP score could earn you college credits before you even set foot on campus. In fact, most AP students who enroll in four-year universities start school with some credit.
